The JPIC Spiritual Journey from Lent to Pentecost:  Reflecting on the Constitutions Through the Lens of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation responds to some of the recommendations of Chapter 2008 (p. 29), using the emergence methodology below:

Name: undertake educative processes at personal, community, and provincial levels that transform us and allow us to own our commitment to justice, peace, and integrity of creation.

Connect: integrate justice, peace, and integrity of creation as a priority into our personal and community goals, in our initial and ongoing formation programs, as well as in our plans at the provincial, regional and international levels.

Nurture: make available to persons and groups, especially to youth who want to commit themselves to service among the most poor, educative processes and concrete channels for expressing and deepening commitment to the poor.

Illuminate: identify two or three priorities which could help us to unite our efforts with those of others working for justice, peace and integrity of creation.

We hope that this process will help us continue to live deeply our common mission and spirituality in light of the cries of humanity and earth for justice, peace and integrity of all life.

          * We credit Margaret Wheatley and the Berkana Institute for the terms: name, connect, nurture, and illuminate, which are being incorporated into the framework of this spiritual journey. Our hope is that "communities of practice" will emerge from our networks. This will be elaborated on in the second phase of the mandate of the JPIC ad hoc Commission.
